Sandra Jessop is an artist who delights in painting nature with watercolor. Her paintings, recognized for their peaceful quality, have been added to the permanent collections of Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Lebanon, NH and Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.
She resides in Arizona with her husband and two children.

"Each painting is my escape to a more peaceful place, “beyond the azure blue”, as I paint to bring feelings of joy and tranquility into a chaotic world. It’s what I experience when I explore a trail in the countryside.

I absorb the mood of the entire landscape, including weather, color of mountains, shapes of plants. I walk further and begin to notice details - tiny flowers, little birds, subtleties of color. A little further and the entire journey becomes an appreciation of creation. I marvel at how something so small has its own place in our enormous world, tiny flowers and artists alike.

My approach to painting is the same. I create an overall impression, playing with colors and shapes, and in the end focus on some little thing that catches my eye.

I hope viewers will enjoy taking time to “walk” into the peacefulness in my watercolors as I can’t help but show my appreciation for the creator."
